What is the 7.5% Reservation?
In 2020, the Tamil Nadu Government introduced a 7.5%
horizontal reservation for students studying from the 6th to 12th
standard in government schools.
This reservation applies to all professional
undergraduate courses under the government quota.
Who Is Eligible?
- Completed
Class 6–12 in Tamil Nadu Government Schools
- Applies
to all categories (OC/BC/MBC/SC/ST) — it's horizontal, not vertical
- Applicable
only to Govt Quota Seats in Govt & Private Colleges
