Firebird Institute of Research in Management (Firebird) was established with the aim of creating world-class contemporary management leadership. The ethos of industry relevance was instilled from the very beginning, owing to its origins in industry. Initially, Firebird was an integral leadership development exercise of the 2500 crore Bannari Amman Spinning Mills/ Shiva Texyarn Group of companies. However, it later evolved to offer a full-time Masters Programme in Management.

The two-year full-time PGDM programme at Firebird Institute of Research in Management (FIRM) is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. Moreover, the institute offers Scholarships up to INR 1.20 Lakh.

At FIREBIRD, every student in the programme works under the mentorship of a corporate manager, allowing them to learn the practical side of management from experienced professionals throughout their two years of study.
