What is B.Tech Bio Technology?
BTech
Biotechnology is a 4 year long undergraduate level bachelor degree program
which is divided into 8 semesters.
The
course syllabus aims to provide knowledge regarding the integration of biology
and technology and the application of the same in real life. It is a field of
applied science which requires the usage of organisms, principles of chemical
engineering and bioprocessing.
The
students who want to join the BTech Biotechnology program should have passed
the 10+2 examination under science stream with Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics and Biology as compulsory subjects. They should also have studied
English as one of the compulsory languages.
Admission
to the course is generally offered on the basis of scores obtained
in JEE Main or JEE Advanced. However, there are various state and
university level exams like MHT CET, WBJEE, OJEE, KCET, MI Entrance Exam (Jamia Millia Islamia), MET
(Manipal Institute) etc.
The
average fees for BTech in Biotechnology ranges from INR 1,20,000 to INR
10,50,000 depending upon the institute of choice.
The
average placement package received by the students after completing this course
is INR 5 lakh per annum. After taking this course, the candidate will be able
to work in Colleges & Universities, Medical Schools, Government Labs,
Pharmaceutical Companies, Chemical Factories, etc. Students have the option of
doing an MBA after graduation
which will allow the student to earn high MBA Salary with good job satisfaction
