Established in 2000,
Karpagam College of Engineering (KCE), Coimbatore is a private and autonomous
institution, approved by the AICTE and affiliated with Anna University,
Chennai. The institute is accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ Grade,
TCS and Wipro with 4,500
students; 426 teaching and non-teaching staff members. The college offers
various undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral programmes accredited by
the NBA across Engineering, Management and Business Administration and IT and
Software streams.
The college has around 12
departments, including Department of Automobile Engineering, Department of
Civil Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and
Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The institute has a
Placement and Training cell which ensures all its students get placed in
reputed companies. The highest placement package offered at KCE Coimbatore was
Rs 12 LPA in 2020. Some of the top recruiters included Cognizant, Infosys,
Wipro, TCS, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. The college has 10 Centers of Excellence
which strive to impart practical and experimental exposure to the students.
The institute has a Data Science & Analytics Centre (DSAC) which trains future data scientists with state-of-the-art technology in big data analytics. The centre chains the expertise of researchers in Mathematics/ Statistics and Engineering.
